About That Canadian Podcast

Hey there, fellow curious minds and adventure seekers! Welcome to That Canadian Podcast - the show that’s about to take you on a wild ride through the uncharted territories of true crime, paranormal mysteries, and the occasional cinematic delight. I’m your host, Sam, the brain behind this auditory and (soon to be) visual journey. Picture me as your trusty guide into the unknown, your cinematic sage, and your friendly neighbourhood Spider-Ma… uh… conspiracy theorist (in the best possible way, of course)!

By day, I’m just your average Canadian, sipping on maple syrup, and apologizing for things that aren’t even my fault. But when the moon rises and the microphone goes live, I transform into a podcasting virtuoso on a quest to unravel the darkest secrets and unearth the spookiest stories.

Whether we’re diving into unsolved mysteries, brushing shoulders with extraterrestrials, or geeking out about the latest blockbuster, you’re in for a whirlwind adventure that’ll keep you on the edge of your seat and possibly make you sleep with the lights on (don’t worry, I do too).

But it’s not just about spine-tingling tales here; it’s about exploring the unexplained, sparking your imagination, and having a few laughs along the way (when appropriate, of course). Now, when it comes to true crime episodes, I approach them with the utmost respect for the gravity of the subject matter. Each episode is a deep dive into the intricate world of criminal investigations, the complexities of unsolved cases, and the pursuit of justice. I’m here to shed light on the stories that have challenged even the most seasoned investigators and ignited the curiosity of armchair detectives worldwide. Whether it’s the perplexing disappearances, audacious heists, or infamous figures from the chronicles of crime history, we’ll present these facts with a touch of our trademark humour (again, when appropriate) and a sprinkle of Canadian warmth. So grab your favourite snack, cozy up in your comfiest chair, and join me on this epic quest to uncover the heartbreaking, weird, and wonderful.

Buckle up, dear listeners, because we’re about to embark on a journey into the extraordinary. Welcome to That Canadian Podcast - where the mysteries are as deep as the Great Lakes, and the adventure is as boundless as the Canadian wilderness!

What inspired me to start a true crime and paranormal podcast during a world-wide pandemic?

Picture this:
It was the midst of a global pandemic, and like most of us, I found myself confined to the cozy cocoon of my home, craving connection and adventure beyond the four walls of home. And that’s when it hit me - why not embark on a thrilling journey of exploration right from my very own sanctuary?

The inspiration behind starting That Canadian Podcast during these challenging times was twofold. First and foremost, the pandemic had us all yearning for stories that could transport us into different worlds, and make our hearts race and our minds wander. True crime and paranormal tales, with their tantalizing blend of suspense and the supernatural, offered the perfect escape. They allowed us to venture beyond our immediate circumstances and explore the mysteries that have fascinated humanity for centuries.

But there was more to it than just escapism. I’ve always been drawn to the enigmatic and unexplained, and I figured I wasn’t alone in this fascination. The pandemic, with its ups and downs, provided an opportunity for introspection and reinvention. I realized that this was the perfect time to channel my passion for storytelling into something that could not only entertain but also allow me to connect with others who shared my curiosity.

So, with a microphone in one hand, a laptop in the other, and a heart full of curiosity, I set out to create a podcast that would unravel the mysteries of true crime and the paranormal while bringing people together, even when physical distances kept us apart. It’s been an incredible journey, and I’m thrilled to have you all along for the ride as we explore the extraordinary from the comfort of our own spaces.
